KURZBESCHREIBUNG (ENGLISH VERSION)
Ein universell einsetzbarer Automobilantrieb ist in der Zukunft nicht zu erwarten: die Vielfalt der Automobilformen, nach Größe, Einsatzbereich und regionalen Merkmalen begründen spezifische Antriebskonfigurationen – von neuartigen Verbrennungsmotoren mit alternativen Kraftstoffen, über Hybridsysteme bis hin zum Elektroantrieb mit Brennstoffzellen oder mit neuartigen Batterien. Renommierte Experten der internationalen Automobilindustrie präsentieren auf dem Kongress aussichtsreiche Antriebskonzepte für repräsentative Automobilgattungen, mit denen in den nächsten 10 – 15 Jahren zu rechnen ist. Wichtige Bewertungskriterien sind dafür neben Leistung und Drehmoment die zu erwartende Kohlendioxid- und Schadstoffemission, der Energieverbrauch, die Verfügbarkeit und die Speicherfähigkeit der vorgesehenen Energieträger, aber auch technische Komplexität, Kosten, Sicherheit, Infrastruktur und Service. Zu Beginn des Kongresses werden die Hauptthemen im Rahmen eines Runden Tisches präsentiert und danach durch Fachvorträge weiter vertieft.

TARGET GROUP
The congress is especially addressed to automobile manufacturers and importers, to service companies, automobiles shops, to traders, suppliers, fair visitors, engineering students and the media representatives.

ABSTRACT
An unique propulsion concept for general use cannot be expected for the future: the variety of automobiles in respect of class, range of use and regional characteristics causes specific configurations of the propulsion systems – from new forms of internal combustion engines with alternative fuels, over hybrid systems up to electric propulsion with fuel cells or with advanced batteries. Well known specialists from the international automotive industry will present at the congress promising propulsion concepts for significant categories of automobiles which will be developed in the next 10 – 15 years. Relevant criteria of valutation are the power, the torque as well as the expected emission of CO2 and pollutants, the energy consumption, the availability and the storage of the provided energy sources and furthermore the technical complexity, the costs, the safety, the infrastructure and the service. At the beginning of the congress the main topics will be presented in the frame of a round table. The following technical presentations will develop every topic.
